| If you are interested in any of the dogs below, please email or call the listing after the pet you are looking at or contact Jennifer at jlmcdonald01@gmail.com. I found a yellow mixed lab, female on November 19, 2011 on Bend of the River Rd. She is about 6 – 8 months old, small frame. I have posted flyers, placed an ad in RM paper, called shelters and placed it on Wilson County Facebook in “found pets”. I have no problem fostering her, however I do have to find her a home. She is very active and my older Golden Retriever has had knee surgery and cannot tolerate the play level this puppy has. If you are interested in adopting this sweet puppy, please feel free to call Debbie @ 813-4042 or email ddawes@1stcarolina.net. 12/5/11 I found this dog running freely down town Tarboro, outside of On The Square. He had no collar, had not been neutered and was loaded with fleas. The vet said he's about 8 mos. I have tried to find out if anyone was missing a dog with no luck. He's a really sweet, lovable puppy. He has the coloring of a rottwaller (sp?) but doesn't have the same bone structure. Please pass this on so possibly get him adopted. Thanks Sue Anderson Bulluck 10/20/11

Alexis Alexis is three years old, spayed, UTD on all shots (will provide records), is currently taking Inceptor, Comfortis as needed. Alexis will come with her toys, food that is left, bowls, and her crate. Alexis became very jealous of her new human brother. She is a sweet dog and loves to play and go for walks. Edward and Caleb My name is Randy Brown. I have two lab mixes brothers that are a little over a year old. I recently had to have spinal fusion surgery. Once that happened the dogs had to be kept in a kennel because my wife works and I could not move to take them out. Well my recovery has not gone a well as we hoped and I am not able to control them still. As a result they are kenneled 16-18 hours a day. That is no way for a dog to live.
To add to that, my wife just found out a new job out in KS that cannot be passed up. We will have to rent when we get out there and no rental place will take dogs over 50lbs. I tried to call the humane society of Rocky Mount because we adopted them from them but they said they couldn’t help me. I am trying to find a place that will take both of them because since they are brothers and have been kenneled with each other for so long I think splitting them up might be cruel.
I need to make something happen soon. The time frame for this is very short. I do NOT want to take the to the Rocky Mount shelter but if I cannot find anything else for them I might just have to do that. I don’t have time to put ads in the paper and wait months to try and find someone. I’m writing to you to see if you know of any farms, kennels, anywhere that would be willing to take them in.
They are both yellow mixed labs. Very energetic and a little cautious with people they don’t know because we have not been able to get the out like they need to be. Once they know you mean them no harm they are very loving. They are both 50lbs, all shots up to date and are both neutered as well as micro-chipped. We have kennels for them and if needed we can pay for anything they need for 2 –3 months.
My phone number is 252-452-1543 252-452-1543 and I can be reached at any time. Thank you for you time
Randy Brown
This sweet little dog was dumped on Old English Rd on Friday. She has recently had puppies, but they were not put out with her. She was very distraught and kept going up and down the road and from house to house ALL day looking for her puppies. She is about a year old, her ears have been sissored to make her look like a pit bull, but as you can see , she is just a small mixed breed about 25 lbs. If anyone is interested in her, to foster or as a pet, please email Connie : doglady555@hotmail.com
Zoey & Ruby I have 2 younger female black lab mixes that I need to find a new home for. My husband was recently diagnosed with severe COPD and the pet dander really affects his breathing. We found them new homes a few months ago when I lost my job but the owners brought them back as he claimed he was "moving". The are extremely nice dogs with great personalities! The oldest is Zoey, she is just a little over 1 years old and the youngest is Ruby, she's about 10 months old. We rescued both dogs from a shelter and we do not want to bring them back to one. Zoey is spayed but Ruby is not. Both dogs are UTD on all shots and receives a monthly flea/tick treatment. Both girls are in excellent health, and weight/age appropriate. They are very energetic animals and we would like to keep them together if possible but we understand that many times that doesn't happen. Please feel free to contact me via email or phone. Contact Ashley at 252-955-8952 252-955-8952 or aclayton72708@yahoo.com. Zoey is on left and Ruby is on right. Thanks so much!! Eli Please spread the word: Eli needs a loving home!!! Eli came in to the veterinary hospital where I work in Rocky Mount after he had been attacked by his house-mate. His left front leg was badly broken. The owner could not afford surgery, so he elected to have him euthanized. The doctor asked the owner to surrender him to our care, and we vaccinated him, amputated the broken leg, and neutered him. He is about 7-8 months old, and he has no idea that he is missing a leg. It doesn't slow him down a bit! Eli is a very sweet, humble little guy. Even when he presented to us with his broken leg, he was giving us kisses despite the pain he was in. He is eager to learn and very loving. If you are interested in opening up your home to Eli, please contact Ashley at (919)225-4958 (919)225-4958 or ashleykp311@yahoo.comPlease forward this email to friends and family. Thank you!
Bella, Coco, Fozzy, Girl I am trying to find homes for 4 dogs. They have all been spayed or neutered. The oldest (born about 4 years ago) was left in our community when her owner moved away. She had several litters of puppies and we found homes for all but 4 dogs. They are all adult dogs now. We had to move to an apartment and cannot keep the dogs. I have exausted all resources to find homes for them before calling the Nash County Animal Shelter to pick them up. I am attaching pictures. Please let me know if you can help find a home for any of them. The youngest one is light tan and white. Please see attached pics of Sam and Lowell. They are approximately 1 yr old, both males and they have not been neutered. Lowell does have mange but I am going to try to get him to my vet this week to start treatment. They have apparently been together since they were younger and are possibly litter mates. They are very sweet natured dogs and love to give and receive love. They probably weigh about 40-45 lbs. I am willing to help with expenses to get them healthy if anyone is willing to take them.
Thank you for posting this for me!! My contact info is below.

He is a 7 month old pitt bull. His yard mate crushed his front leg bones and the owner authorized him to be put to sleep . He is such a loving and sweet dog, the staff is hoping he can find a new safe home or rescue. They will amputate his front leg on Monday and asking for some assistance to cover the approx. 700.00 procedure and meds to make a full recovery. If you are interested, please contact Riverside Vet. 6/22/11 Leonard Meet Leonard- A beautiful lemon and white pointer! He is a sweet boy and since noone has claimed him, may have been dumped! WOOF!!!
He was found in Momeyer (between Nashville and Spring Hope). He looks like a pointer. No collar. Took him to the vet (Riverside) today. No microchip or tattoo. He got a rabies vaccine and we started him on amoxicillin for some cuts/wounds. He tested positive for hookworms (we started treatment for that today) and he tested positive for heartworms as well (did not start treatment for that). The vet guesses he is 3-4 years old. We are trying to find his owner. I'm guessing that he slipped out of a pen and is someone's hunting dog. He is very sweet with us and our 3 children, but was a little shy at first and terrified at the vets office. We have a geriatric hound and they got along fine when briefly introduced, although we are keeping them separated. Thank you very much. elizabethdempseylord@gmail.comLiz Lord 459-3100 469-5527
ChaCha This is a loving pure bred pit bull (no papers though, but we can look into it). He is looking for a new home and is free to adopt. He gets along with kids and has small Shih Tzu as a friend. His shots are all current and is housebroken. Please contact Joe and Mary Kay at jkmag@embarqmail.com Cody He was adopted at Dogs Day Out from the SPCA Alliance of NC. The adopter gave him back yesterday because he kept escaping from her yard. He is a great little guy, fully vetted and neutered, about 2 years old. We need to find him a new home ASAP, since our foster homes are all full. Anyone interested should contact Shelley Milburn at 985-8869.
Abby We have a 13 year old long haired dachshund that we would like to place in a good home. My husband and I both have to travel for work and feel like she needs to be in a home with someone who could give her more love. She is in good health except for a sty on her eye which does not bother her. I think she would be perfect for an elderly person that just wants a companion. We do not want any compensation - we just want to find her a good home. In fact, we will include her bowls, leash, etc. Please contact Cheryl at cmpiner@embarqmail.com _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ TRYING TO FIND A HOME FOR A GORGEOUS PUPPY 6 MONTHS OLD LAB MIX, CHOCOLATE COLOR , 55 LBS.REALLY PRETTY HEAD AND FACE.
