Pet Behavior
Pets are complex and will dispay many behaviors that you may not understand. The link below is to the Pet Resources Library of the Raliegh SPCA. There are links for cat and dog behaviors, Pet Care information, Rescue Organizations and some North Carolina Animal Shelters. Many pets over a lifetime will exhibit some type of behavior that you may find undesirable. Before you think that your pet is "mad" at you or "doing it on purpose", please understand that they are not humans and do not do things to anger you on purpose. Please click on the link below for some answers to your questions.

The ASPCA also has a website for behavior. Check out www.aspcabehavior.org
If you are still having a problem with your pets' behavior, please seek help of a board certified animal behaviorist. The American College of Veterinary Behaviorists (ACVB) is a professional organization of veterinarians who have achieved board-certification in the specialty of Veterinary Behavior. Board-certified specialists are known as diplomates. These individuals work with individual pet owners, other animal professionals, and facilities that care for animals in order to manage behavior problems and improve the well-being of animals. Below is the link to the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists.
